Fantasia Festival – London, UK

The Fantasia Festival is one of the UK's longest-running and most respected belly dance festivals. Held annually in London, it is organised by Bellydance Now and brings together dancers, teachers, and performers from around the world. The festival is renowned for its strong emphasis on artistic development, musicality, and authentic Middle Eastern dance traditions.

The festival typically includes:

• International workshops taught by leading artists from Egypt, Europe, Brazil, and the UK.
• Gala Shows featuring internationally acclaimed performers and live music.
• Open Stage, offering dancers of all levels the opportunity to perform before an enthusiastic audience.
• Competitions for soloists, duos, groups, and live drum solos.
• A traditional Souk, where dancers can shop for costumes, accessories, jewellery, music, and dancewear.

Fantasia is recognised for fostering a supportive and inspiring atmosphere that values artistic growth over competition alone. While welcoming dancers of all styles and experience levels, the festival maintains a strong focus on Egyptian Raqs Sharqi, folklore, musical interpretation, and performance quality.

I am truly honoured and delighted to be joining the Fantasia Festival as a guest teacher.

It is a privilege to share my passion  teaching a class on Balady Style , one of the most authentic and expressive forms of Egyptian dance. I look forward to meeting dancers from around the world and exploring together the history, musicality, feeling, and essence of this beautiful style.
